i like it.

Exercise and I (me? I?) aren’t the closest of friends. We don’t speak much. BUT. We were reintroduced by Anti-Suck. A-S actually recommended that we join a gym. So we did. Wanna know the crazy part? I like it.

Our cool gym has child care and at $3 for one hour of me-time it is more than worth it.

What else do I like about it, you ask?

I LOVE that I get to listen to the music that I want to…uninterrupted.

I like that as I’m squatting to type this as my computer is on the couch, my bum is a bit sore.

I like that I only feel a bit intimidated walking in. That’s a lot less than I had anticipated.

I like that I get to pick the music.

I like that on the bike, I can put my head down, close my eyes and talk to Jesus…with my music of choice as background noise.

I like that a friend from church works in the childcare and the girls love her.

I like that working out is turning my life into one that does not…suck.

Working out does actually have its perks.
    Glad you’re finding some!

Exercise and I are great friends – we just don’t hang out as often I would like.

    Enjoy your music!

I know what you mean about the music. If I happen to forget my iPod, my workout only reaches about 50% of what it normally does.

Wow, great stuff! Working out and I are getting to be better friends – especially when I discovered how much better it makes me feel in general. That and sauna. I’m loving the sauna. Sounds like you have an awesome gym. With a Christian friend in the childcare?! That is a blessing! A/S seems to be a God-given idea!

    victory!

that’s fantastic. kitty and i were just talking about getting into an exercise regimen (is it actually “regiment”?) together when she’s out in SA later this year. and by exercise i probably only mean long walks, but that’s better than the big ol’ nothing i’m doing right now. i feel so blobbish and … gross… and yet i still lack the motivation and discipline i need to really start doing something about it.

let’s not think about that right now.

    yay for your sore butt.

So glad this is good “you” time… in so many more ways than one! Good for you…
