daniel was at work yesterday for 24.5 hours.
today is his birthday and we are together.
he leaves tonight for california.
next week it slows down…. ![]()
my wonderful husband (who is still at work) turns 29 today (tomorrow…it’s 12:09 am)! it is very exciting that since he is working late and leaving tomorrow afternoon that he does not have to work during the day - so we will be able to spend his birthday together! so….happy birthday, babe. love you! oh and…you’re 29!!!
my hard working hubby has been working SO much lately… but this is a good thing. it means PCI is helping launch so many churches (therefore they are having to put in that much more time). yesterday he went in at 530 am, got home at 10 pm and was up again at 430. he got off early tonight (730). he’ll also be gone 3 weekends this month training churches to use their systems. i’m so proud of him for working so hard and for being an employee that adds so much value to this great company.
thankfully this is not the norm - that would be unsustainable on many levels, but seasonal in busy times. i think this is our third wave to overtime in two years. but that does that leaves me…a desperate housewife. the other “pci wives” and i joke of starting a support group for the busy seasons!
thanks, babe, for all your hard work. you are one great husband, dad, manager!
Daniel and I (and Anna
) went to see Oceans 13 today. Our older [and much louder/ much "wiggilier"] daughter stayed with Nana and Papa. We’ve been wanting to see it and thought we would take advantage of Anna being in her “I’m-still-a-newborn-and-pretty-quiet-stage”. She did great, hardly a peep the whole movie. It was good and we enjoyed our kinda date!
I mean "night-night"
Published 16 February 2007 God is good , emma , family , fun times , love and marriage 3 CommentsIn the last month or so Daniel has acquired this amazing, jaw dropping talent (that I am so jealous of) of putting Emma to sleep in record time. I’m talking walking up stairs with a bottle and two minutes later he’s sitting next to me on the couch with remote in hand ready to watch whatever was tivo-ing that evening or ready to unwind with conversation of the days events. How does he do it? The days of “only-mama-can-put-me-to-bed” are ancient history — this is dad zone now.

That's what I hear...
