Search Terms

I finally have some half-way decent search terms. Until now, they weren’t even blog-worthy. I don’t know what you all write about to get the crazy searches that you do. So, here ya go:

2008 jeep commander photos : That’s right, I’m driving a Jeep!

sweet swim child girl : I have two of these. :)

dr. paul yonggi cho: sure.

“i had such a bad hair day” : often.

“bibbidi bobbidi blue” : our paint color of choice.

black and white worship and joy : I’m not sure what you’re asking.

explosion in window : if this is your situation, why are you reading my blog?

fail : hmmm

trendy girls : you won’t find that here, sorry.

fire restoration service paid : woo hoo, thank God for rental insurance

“funny garage sale antics” : what’s not fun about that?

cheezball necklace : I love it!

meaning of hodge-podge : our family, of course

sewer backup urine basement smell : it’s sad that this combo of words led someone to my site

sanders “carmel cake” : yum yum

{Insert witty title something something}…Hebrews

Who do you think wrote the book of Hebrews? I’m teaching on Hebrews and James  this coming weekend and authorship is one topic of my lesson…but the Bible doesn’t tell us who authored it (besides the Holy Spirit). So….I’m wondering…who do you think it was? There are no wrong answers. Well, I mean, there are wrong answers (I didn’t right it, for sure, John the Baptist didn’t write it and neither did King James…). Just curious.

That’s Cool

Ok, I know I just posted but I read an article and found out that using your cell you can send a text to Google with a simple message and within seconds (literally) you will receive a reply with answer. For example, I text “Mexican” to 466453 (or “Google” on most devices) and in under 30 seconds I received a text message with three close Mexican restaurants. Google doesn’t charge anything for this service so the only charge that of the text message itself. How cool is that?

not faithful to Blogger

Confession: I’ve also been blogging on Xanga for a few days. I like both sites and there are good things and bad things about both. I’ve been copying & pasting blogs from here to there, I’m not sure yet where I will land so for now I’m in BLOG LIMBO.
Anyways, here’s the link to that one:

But I’m not giving this one up yet. (This memory will always be cherished as my first blog ;) lol)

Times a wastin’

So what is your favorite way to waste time. Unfortunatley, I can be pretty good at it (by choice)!

What’s your favorite way to waste time?
Blogs
Email / Surfing the Net
Pretending to clean, but stall / sidetrack looking at exciting papers on the floor
Shopping
Movies
Chocolate
Free polls from Pollhost.com

Tough choices… (I really like these polls, thanks, Aim!)

Nothing into…Africa

I cannot think of anything to “blog” about. I know it’s been a while and I get anxious when my friends don’t post - I like to read blogs, and here I am with nothing to say. Maybe if I type long enough something will come out.

When I first started blogging all day long I would think of things or events that I could blog on.

Oh, ok…how bout this…. AFRICA.

I want to go there. I want to take my family but I’m not sure how to do that. My good friend that lives in South Africa is now visiting…sigh… Botswana (without me!) I have dreams about Africa and how excited I am that I finally get to go there (in my dream I’m going, not in real life) probably at least once a week.

It takes a lot of money to go. When I am in a stadium watching a baseball game or when we were at church in Tulsa I would ALWAYS think, “If every person gave me $1, just $1, I could go on missions and pay all my bills and take my family…and go to Africa. It’s only $1, I’d give it to someone if they needed it. I should do it”.

When do I get to go? I know that God has put it all in my heart and in His timing it will be PERFECT and in the meantime I will be curious as to what happens next and keep dreaming. :)

OK, so when will I get to go? http://p80z.2.pollhost.com/ let me know what you think (and try to be encouraging :) )

ps. It’s not letting me post pictures today :(, I had some good ones!

PG 13

I guess my life is rated PG13 (I’m married!) :)

So what do you really think?

Courtesy of Amy E, I’ve found this a “johari window”. Here’s mine http://kevan.org/johari?name=deehodgson . You can get one too.

We raise this Pringle in honor of…

Survivor’s on tonight. I am a huge fan. Usually each week we watch it with my parents and two of our friends, Sue and Denise. Last season, on Survivor Guatemala, Gary (see picture) was our favorite and he also was Denise’s cousin. That was fun. We wanted Gary to win so we would always each “eat a Pringle in his honor”. (Pringles used to be the sponsor for Survivor, we’d always stock up for Thursday nights…who said advertising doesn’t work?!?)

So we eat Pringles in honor of those we want to win. We ate one each week in honor of Gary - except for the week he got voted off. We failed him. It’s really our fault he lost. :)

This season I’m not sure yet who my favs are…I think Terry. But I have been eating them so that Shane will get voted off. Maybe it doesnt work in reverse.

We also watched the premiere of Apprentice. The person that lost in the boardroom was sent to Exile Island. :) lol

Cruise Director?

Danielle, you’re a Cruise Director!

If it weren’t for guiding lights like you, the world would be a bunch of lost souls and automatons, carrying on the daily grind without any cheer or direction. Thank goodness you’re around. Your stellar interpersonal skills and compassionate ear for the troubles and life experiences of others makes you a godsend when the going gets tough. And since you’re especially smooth at working with groups, your listening skills and wisdom are best when called in to sort out a conflict or lead an open discussion. Consider yourself the soul doctor to the world—it’s your true work personality.

Who’s like you: Oprah Winfrey

Likely careers:Talk show host, HR director, news anchor, teacher, spiritual leader, socialite

——
Interesting! That’s good that “spiriutal leader” and “teacher” are listed since that’s where we’re utlimatley headed. In the meantime maybe I’ll try out talk show host.

What about you? http://web.tickle.com/invite?test=1101&type=t
